Production History
Killing Time was first performed as a workshop production in New York City to sold out houses at The Manhattan Repertory Theatre as part of the Spring Playfest in 2011. The workshop production ran from April 27, 2011 through May 8, 2011. The cast included Nicole Balsam as Vivian, Sharon Pinney as Leigha, Bill Bria as Grant, Paul Caron as Floyd, Stephen Thornton as Jimmy / Bruce, Sheila Griffin as Kitty, Jordan Swisher as Joe, Milee Bang as Terry, and Nishi Rajan as Jamie.
In June 2012 Killing Time was featured as part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Reading Series. The cast included Claire Nasuti as Vivian, Sharon Pinney as Leigha, Bill Bria as Grant, Paul Caron as Floyd, Daron Ross as Jimmy / Bruce, Kelsey Schelling as Kitty, Matthew Dean Wood as Joe, Milee Bang as Terry, Zoe Geltman as Jamie, and Stage Directions by Tatyana Kalko.
In July 2012 Killing Time was produced for a two week run by Original Binding Productions at the Payan Theater at The Roy Arias Theater Center. This Off-Off-Broadway production ran for 12 shows and 1 preiew. The cast included Claire Nasutias Vivian, Sharon Pinney as Leigha, Bill Bria as Grant, Paul Caron as Floyd, >Daron Ross as Jimmy / Bruce, Kelsey Schelling as Kitty, Jordan Swisher as Joe, Milee Bang as Terry, and Tatyana Kalko as Jamie. The production was the subject of a New York Times Features article by Marc Santora, and Marc Miller called the play “the sickest show in town” with “a resolution that is spiritual and hopeful” in his Backstage Review.
